Our new location in Neumarkt

The new world of masts and towers

Our new workplace in the industrial park NM-Habersmühle

All over Germany, they tower into the sky: the masts and towers of FUCHS Europoles. Since the summer of 2022, we have been producing these grey giants at our new site in Neumarkt.

The modern halls and the energy-efficient administration building were built here in record time. We devoted one year to site development and planning, and another year to the construction of the facilities. We thus celebrated the official opening of the site only two years after acquiring the land.

Sustainable location

The new plant bundles production lines for poles made of spun concrete, steel and GRP (glass fibre reinforced plastic). Intelligent internal logistics, PV electricity, rainwater cisterns, own well, electric concrete bucket conveyor, wood chip heating, concrete recycling and many other components form a sustainable and resource-saving concept.

Building diary

In just twelve months of construction, the new world of masts and towers has risen to the heights directly on the B 299. Before you knew it, the five-storey administration building had been built – thanks to FUCHS system components. The seven production halls also quickly rose into the air. The holistic building concepts, turnkey construction services and genuine craftsmanship from FUCHS enabled us to achieve the short planning and construction time.

We have documented the milestones of the construction for you:

Plot / Planning

Plot / Planning

With the acquisition of the plot of land in the "Habersmühle I" industrial estate in Neumarkt OPf. on 13 February 2020, the first step for the new place of business has been achieved. Since mid-February 2021, the "Development Plan 050 – Habersmühle I" has been in place and we can start with the first work.

Building ground optimisation

Building ground optimisation

With the start in March 2021, we have begun with the ground work. Among other things, it is necessary to fill the site, for which many trucks are rolling in compaction material.

At the end of April 2021, we poured the base plate for the new office building. The new, five-storey administration building at Habersmühle will be built on around 700 m2 of floor space.

Start of construction hall

With the start in May 2021, the first reinforced concrete columns for the future production, hall sections 3, 4, 5 and 6 rolled in. They are now being assembled at a cycle rate of twelve columns per day.

Water treatment

The process water demand is not insignificant: the concrete mixing, the cleaning of the plants and the demand for service water in the administration building. The water treatment with its own well as well as five cisterns conserves resources. The containers arrived in mid-June.

FUCHS speed

The new factory continues to grow: the shell of three halls has been completed. At the storage yard, the foundations of the gantry crane and the associated track system were built. Four indoor cranes have been placed in hall 3.

Final spurt from March 2022

Final spurt from March 2022

In March 2022, we successively moved into our new location at Habersmühle – after less than twelve months of construction. Our dedicated planning and construction team as well as the high-quality FUCHS prefabricated parts enabled us to achieve this remarkably short record construction time.

Opening

The inauguration of the site was attended by 450 guests of honour from all over the country – including Minister President Dr. Markus Söder, Minister of Finance Albert Füracker and high-ranking representatives of the three major tower companies operating in Germany. After the interesting speeches by the managing directors Conrad Fuchs, Michael Novotny, Tobias Fersch and the above-mentioned guests of honour, the highlight of the gathering took place. Markus Söder officially pressed the start button for the 24-metre long slingshot, in which around 80 tonnes of concrete and steel were set in motion.
